Welcome to Wellbeing Wednesday, Sycamore Class blush

Active Start

As its Wellbeing Wednesday, ask an adult to help you to safely visit Cosmic Kids Yoga on You Tube. There are so many fabulous and fun sessions on there to choose from. Hoping that you enjoy a lovely, calm start to the day.

Remember to try to spend a bit of time every day on these following activities:

  • Read for at least 30 minutes - As the weather is getting a bit nicer, perhaps you can spend a bit of time enjoying reading a book in the garden on a blanket? Perhaps you can write a book review once you have finished the book you are currently reading and send it to me by email?
  • Practice times tables for 20 minutes. Year 3’s, you should know: 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10 by the end of this school year.
  • Practice spellings for 15 minutes Choose 5 words a day to practice using look, cover, say, write, check. Highlight the words when you definitely know them

Today, as it is Wellbeing Wednesday, I wonder if you can all make each other giggle even though we are apart. I would like you to write a short (it must be appropriate, so make sure you discuss with an adult at home first), story about a time that something funny that happened to you! Once you have written/typed it up, take a photo/send it to me to share with you all on this page.

Then you can each have a read of each other’s and hopefully it will all make you smile and giggle!

You might even want to add on your favourite/best joke to share with the class as an added giggle!

This week we have been really thinking about learning the months of the year. We have focused on:

revising the months of the year, how many days there are in each month, thinking about the things that are important to us that happen in the different months of the year, and ordering the months of the year by making our own family birthday calendars.

Well done all of you for your hard work! There has been some great, creative pieces of maths work from you so far this week laugh

Today I’d like you to really focus on learning about which months come before and after.

Take a look at this:

Write today's date and then set your work out into your books by drawing a table neatly, to record your answers.

If you have time and would like to, you and other family members could play a little game too! Write the months of the year onto 12 different pieces of paper/post it notes. One of you then hides these pieces of paper in various places in your home/garden. The other person then seeks them and has to then put them into the correct order! Repeat as many times as you would like to!

Wellbeing Wednesday!

The focus for today’s Wellbeing Wednesday is ‘kindness’.

On the activity sheet, you will see that there are many different ideas for showing Kindness.

I wonder how many different ways Sycamore class can be ‘Kindness Monsters’ today?

Choose some of the activities to choose to show kindness. I’ve also attached a colouring sheet if you would like to use that too.

And finally, to finish off the day with some more fun!

You might want to finish the day by challenging yourself to have a go at something a bit different, whilst feeling good too! Have a go at one of Oti Mabuse’s (from Strictly Come Dancing) dance workouts on her page! They are great fun.

We are really enjoying them at home too!

Enjoy some jokes from Macey!
