In your purple writing book:
a) Follow the link to the pobble365 website. Look at the picture, and read the Story starter. Undertake each of the activities on the page - it gives you opportunity for some sentence work, some reading comprehension, some imagination and drawing activity. Also, do some creative writing by carrying on the story, i.e. reveal the mystery of the eggs by writing another couple of paragraphs from the Story starter.
In your green maths book:
Some time word problems.
To find the difference between two given times, start at the earlier time and count up to the later time.
e.g. A bus leaves at 8:45am. It arrives at its destination at 11:25am. How long did the journey take?
I would perhaps draw this on a number line to show that counting up from 8:45am to 9am is 15mins. From 9am to 11am is 2hours. From 11am to 11:25am is another 25mins. Adding these three jumps together gives us an answer of 2 hours 40 minutes.
b) Answer these problems in your book:
If you managed this no problem, perhaps you could write a couple of word problems of your own of this style.
Follow the link below to the BBC Bitesize page - talking about your family and pets. There's a lot on this page: don't worry, you can't do it all!
Watch the video and read the sections underneath: Describing family (though you won't need all of that vocabulary), Name and ages, and Numbers (with a guest appearance from Sergio Aguero!).
You should now have enough Spanish language to write a simple description of a family member - what their name is and how old they are. Choose three family members to do this with. The table below Sergio's video will help you to do this.
e.g. Se llama Sophie. Tiene ocho anos.
