Tuesday

Tuesday 28th April

Hello everyone,

Hope you all had a lovely Monday.  Did any of you take part in our suggestion of ‘Movie Night Monday’? If so what film did you watch?

Today’s theme for Tuesday is: Talented Tuesday.

‘Why blend in when you were born to stand out?’ Dr Seuss

What is one of your talents, hidden or otherwise, that makes you, YOU?

Sunflowers: Has anyone had a go at creating a sunflower to display for blue light workers? This is the link for the campaign: https://www.norfolk.police.uk/news/latest-news/20-04-2020/sunflower-campaign-supports-frontline-services

Have a good day!

Mrs Ashby and Miss Barrett

Tuesday's Learning tasks:

> Start your day with an Active Start. Continue with the weekly challenge from Pav, remember you can make it challenging as you go through the week. 'Resources and Web Links' section week beginning 27th April.

> Read your book for 20 minutes. Or you could read a book from Bug Club.

> Maths: This week we are looking at ‘Time’.  The questions relate to converting between units of time and solving problems related to this. There are some problems for you to solve, today I would like you to answer qs 9 to 15 on the activity sheet ‘Time qs for Monday and Tuesday’. You will find this in the Resources and Web Links section. There is a ‘Measures of time poster’ to help you. When you have completed the qs, scroll down to the final page and you will find the answers so you can self-mark them.

> Further Maths to have a go at! Visit the White Rose website ‘Summer Term Week 2 (w/c 27th April) and complete Lesson 2 ‘Angles in regular polygons’. If you are finding these too tricky you could look at a lower year group or you need a greater challenge look at a higher year group instead.

> Complete the word of the day activities - see below.

> Visit Active learn website and select a maths and a SPAG activity to complete.

> Please continue with the writing challenge for the week: See document in Resources and Web Links section. Non-Chronological report. You may need to do more than one draft to ensure you have met all the elements.

> Our Learning theme for the summer term is:

               VOLCANOES AND EARTHQUAKES

If you haven’t watched the videos on Monday’s links then please do this before you start today’s learning.

Today I would like you to look at the document called ‘Volcanoes lesson 2 for Tuesday’ in the Resources and Web Links section.

Read the information on each slide. Then complete the task of drawing the parts of the Earth and complete the research.

  1. Remember to build in some quiet time, creative time and outdoor time! Why not try the nature activity or a lego challenge?

Have a good day!
