Tuesday

Good morning Maple! We hope you are excited for another day of playing and learning! Please do not worry if you are unable to do all of the activities each day. Please look after yourselves and do things that will make you smile!

Here are some of the things you could do today:

  • Get active for at least 15 minutes - you can do it!
  • Read for at least 20 minutes. Remember, this could be a real book, e-books (Twinkl, Oxford Owl) or Bug Club books. Remember to have a go at clicking on the bug to answer some quiz questions about your reading!
  • Practise your spellings for 15 minutes. For most of the class, the spellings are the same all week. Please also look at the bottom of this page if you need to spend some time practising phonics.
  • Mental maths - Try to spend 5 to 10 minutes today doing a mental maths activity. Today, you could have a go at 'Hit the button' or 'coconut multiples.' Go to the links in the resources section. Choose which times tables you want to do. 10 is a nice easy way to start!
  • Maths job - telling the time on an analogue clock. There are some fun games on activelearn for you to try. Also, on the 'resources' page there are links to other fun time games. If you want to do something practical, you could try making a clock with a paper plate or by cutting out a big circle.
  • Write a poem

Today have a go at writing a fun acrostic poem using your notes from yesterday. An acrostic poem is a poem where certain letters in each line spell out a word or phrase. Typically, the first letters of each line are used to spell the message, but they can appear anywhere.
