Maple 2020 Transition Activity

Hello to the new Maple class of 2020!  We really can’t wait to get to know you all better in September!

Because our learning theme ‘Land Ahoy’ is all about explorers on the sea who embark upon new adventures, we thought it would be fun to get you to think about your new adventure! Don’t worry, we’re not really going out to sea BUT we are about to start our new journey together as the Maple class of 2020 to 2021. And what an exciting journey that will be!

Here is what we would like you to do:

1)     We would like you to make a boat, either using the templates below, or using the picture ideas below to make your own.

2)     Write a sentence on your boat telling us what you would like to achieve in your new class. For example: I want to get better at running and using finger spaces in my writing! Or I want to learn to say more words in Spanish!

3)     Decorate your boat, either with crayons, paints, felt tips or basically….any way you like (as long as we can read your lovely sentences)!

Have fun making your boat, and remember to bring it in to show us in September! We can’t wait to start our adventure!

Here are some templates you can print, choose your favourite one OR make your own boat (see pictures below).

The school is open today for vulnerable pupils and children of key workers (who have attended previously) only. .................................. All other pupils should continue with remote learning as usual...................Only 1 more day of home learning to go!..............All children return to school on Monday 8th March.......Please see the Parent Information Booklet under the Parent section of this website in Letters..........
