Rowan Class - Autumn Term!
Welcome to the Autumn Term in Rowan Class.
I hope everyone has enjoyed the glorious summer holidays and is ready to tuck back into some vital learning.
Please ensure your PE kit is in school all week as we will be undertaking some extra fitness and running along with our regular PE lessons.
Year 6 will be swimming on Mondays during the first half term and year 5 will be swimming on Mondays after half term.
This term our learning theme is Ancient. We have started by investigating and creating some mythical Greek creatures. Throughout the term we will look at many aspects of ancient Greek life and how it has impacted the World we live in today.
English homework will be sent out on a Monday and Maths homework on a Tuesday. Please hand your homework in on Friday if possible. If there are any difficulties understanding your homework, please do come and ask me for a little help.
In science we will be learning about Space, which ties in nicely to our ancient Greece topic. The children have created a fabulous 3D display of the solar system to launch our new science project.
If you have any questions or concerns, I am available on the playground after school.
Would you like to read something a bit different?
Children and parents often ask teachers for good ideas for what to read. Below, you can find a great book list with many different genres and authors of fiction that you might like to try.
Have you seen the Kids' Zone Play games, and visit some fun websites. You can vote for your favourites!
