Oak Class 2021-22



Happy New Year to you all. We hope you had a restful Christmas break.


This term we are studying the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings and the children have already shown great knowledge about this topic. We are creating an Anglo-Saxon Village for our 'WOW' day. If you have anything at home that might help with our topic please send into class so we can share this.:

This term we will also be studying:

Science: Animal including humans

Design Technology:  the children will be practising their sewing skills as we will be creating fabric banners linked to our history topic.

Art: We will be printing and drawing and we will be learning about the artist Albrecht Durer

PE: we have Pav this term on Tuesdays

RE: a study of 'One narrative, many beliefs: why do people interpret things differently?'

Computing: learning about search engines

Online Safety: Online relationships, online reputation and self image and identity

RSE (Learning for Life): this area will focus on 'My body' and 'My beliefs' further information can be found on this website

PSHE: 'Living in the wider world' with a focus on money

Music: How does music improve our world? 


We will be holding a few meetings this term for Derbyshire and also SATs, more information will follow later this term.

Groovy Greeks Wow Afternoon - Greek food tasting and mythical monster creations!

Reception Classes (Apple Tree and Cherry Tree) both fully re-open from today (Thursday 20th January). Remote learning via Google Classroom will be available for those pupils who are self-isolating due to Covid.
