Good morning Sycamore Class!
Just these last 2 days left together, sadly. But I have some fun activities planned, that you can hopefully enjoy before you begin your summer holidays!
Usually at this time of year, we spend lots of time in school reflecting back on the last school year and celebrating lots of different achievements and the many ways in which you have all grown and changed. It would be great if we could all still do some activities like this even though we can’t be together.
I have been so impressed with all of you and how you and your families have taken on the challenges of Home Learning and how well you have kept on being positive through so many challenges. I think that this year has been such a different and unique one, but one from which you can all truly learn so much and grow.
I am so, so proud of you all, Sycamore Class!
This Wednesday will sadly be the last morning workout with Joe Wicks, so enjoy your next few days of workouts with him if you have liked this style of a workout!
Virtual Talent Show
So, for your first end of year activity, I would like you to think about your talent! Usually at this time in the school year, we enjoy the school talent show and it’s such a wonderful event to look forward to and then watch. Are you a secret magician? A juggler? Perhaps you have a singing or a musical talent? Dancing or gymnastics? Perhaps it’s art and design? Are you a super star baker or chef? Perhaps it’s a sporting challenge such as being able to do loads of keepy uppies or cartwheels? Whatever your fun and unique talent is, practice or prepare it for some time, then present it to your family for your very own family talent show.
If you are feeling brave and confident, then do email me in a photo or a video of you with or doing your talent and I can share it with the class tomorrow J
Get Ready to get cosy and calm with a book!
I have heard some great news! The North Walsham library is open again
for you all to enjoy!
So, I want you all to spend a bit of time today getting ready for a summer of some super reading! I love reading, but sadly haven’t been able to do as much as I’d hoped to as I have been so, so busy over the last few months. I am really looking forward to the summer holidays and having a bit more time to be able to settle down (hopefully in the garden in some sunshine!).
Have you all signed up for the reading challenge this year? The theme for this year’s challenge is the ‘Silly Squad’, a team of animal friends who love to go on adventures and get stuck in to all different kinds of funny books. You can sign up to take part in the Silly Squad Summer Reading Challenge at www.sillysquad.org.uk where you’ll find book suggestions, tips on keeping reading when schools and libraries are closed, quizzes, games and more.
Remember that if you’re not ready for a visit to the library, you can also choose from thousands of e-books to download free from the library service using the Libby app - see www.norfolk.gov.uk/ebooks for more details.
If you need any ideas for books to read, here is a great list for Year 3.
And to finish with today, a lovely Nature Walk
Today, when you go on your family walk, I have a bit of a challenge for you. I would like you to have a ‘gratitude walk’. Here is a page, which will help you to be reflective and thankful for the wonderful world that is right there, outside our front doors. I know that for many of us, over the last few months, our daily walks have become something that is so important in our daily lives.
I shall see you all virtually (unfortunately L) for our last day together.
Big virtual hug, Mrs Crosswell J
