Super work from Sycamore!

Good morning Sycamore Class!

Welcome to Get Moving Monday!

Active Start

Decide whether you are ready for an energetic start today with Joe Wicks or a dance workout with Oti Mabuse. Or perhaps you'd prefer a more peaceful start to help you to ease into the week with some Yoga from Cosmic Kids Yoga?

After a nice, active start, time to get focused!

Remember to try to spend a bit of time every day on these following activities:

  • Read for at least 30 minutes - As the weather is getting a bit nicer, perhaps you can spend a bit of time enjoying reading a book in the garden on a blanket? Perhaps you can write a book review once you have finished the book you are currently reading and send it to me by email?
  • Practice times tables for 20 minutes. Year 3’s, you should know: 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10 by the end of this school year.
  • Practice spellings for 15 minutes Choose 5 words a day to practice using look, cover, say, write, check. Highlight the words when you definitely know them.

English

Usually, at this time of the year, we begin to spend some time reflecting on our year together and some of our favorite memories as a class and our individual achievements.

This year has certainly been a very unique one and one which we are sure that you will all remember for a long time. As we now have less than 2 weeks together as a class, I thought that it would be nice if today you could spend some time thinking about your ‘Sycamore highlights’ from this year.

They can be your memories from any point in this school year. I wonder if you can all also think back to our sorting hat activities at this point last year, and the qualities that you identified for yourself. Perhaps you might want to spend some time thinking about the qualities that you have developed over this year. Mrs. Monsey and I can certainly think of many qualities that we are so proud to have seen you all develop over this unusual time.

After you have spent some time thinking and reflecting on your Sycamore highlights and your own personal achievements, then spend some time writing and illustrating about your Sycamore highlights.

I am really looking forward to seeing your writing and illustrations about your memories and highlights J
