Summer Term Learning
Love Where We Live
This term in Early Phase our learning theme is ‘Love Where We Live.’ We enjoyed a day at Sheringham Park for our Wow day! Our day out has got us very excited about learning more about where we live!
As scientists we will be learning about different parts of plants and what they need to survive.
In RE, we have learnt about religion in our local community. We discussed all of the beautiful and different places of worship around us. We recognised lots of different places in North Walsham. We will also be exploring the meaning behind the story of ‘The Good Samaritan’.
As historians we will be learning about our local area of North Walsham and how the town has changed over time. We will also explore how times have changed since our parents and grandparents were younger.
As geographers we will be looking at maps and thinking about how we travel to school.
As artists we will be studying the work of famous artist, William Morris, who took inspiration from the beautiful natural world around him. We will be sketching plants and then creating repeat patterns using print techniques.
In PE, we are enjoying using dance as a way of expressing ourselves and our emotions to music. We will also be going swimming at Victory swimming pool.
