How we can support you as a parent

The nurture team, along with the school, are very keen to develop links with the families of the school and the community.

The nurture team offers a support hub to parents and carers of children in the school, offering advice and links to outside agencies. Parent’s/carers can also chat privately with the team if they have any concerns regarding their own child/children and they will take referrals for nurture sessions if they feel this is something they can offer. If this is not the case, then referrals can be made to other agencies with the parents/carers permission or advice can be given as to the next steps. e.g, GP, health visitors, Early Help etc.

The nurture team have changed their previous dates of a Monday and Wednesday drop in sessions and now offer informal regular drop in sessions (aka coffee mornings)on a Tuesday morning at 9-10 am and Thursdays from 10:30-11:30 am for parents/ carers .( Younger siblings are also welcome) . This could be to just chat and have a coffee with other parents/carers or to chat with the nurture team about general topics such as behaviour, Nurtured Heart Approach, Zones of Regulation. There may also be opportunities in the future to join in with group discussions about topics that would be helpful to those who attend.

Appointments can be made to see Alison and/or Hannah during the week to chat more privately. Please phone the office to speak to one of the team.

The nurture team are aware that the wellbeing of the parents/carers is vital to having happy children so they also welcome you for some TLC and a cup of  coffee and a biscuit or two!

Reception Classes (Apple Tree and Cherry Tree) both fully re-open from today (Thursday 20th January). Remote learning via Google Classroom will be available for those pupils who are self-isolating due to Covid.
