And finally, we have got to the end of the year! These are the last two days of the school year, and then it's the summer holiday.
What a strange year. Well done for putting up with such an enormous upheaval to our lives! You've done very well to maintain your education at home, under your own steam. And if you've kept up a good routine, managing your home-learning each day, Monday to Friday...then you definitely deserve a good six weeks holiday!
I hope that you have an enjoyable holiday, and do get to do some nice activities and get to see family and friends (in a safe and appropriate way!).
It's sad that our school year got interrupted - we were in a good groove! So I hope that in some way your home-learning has proved to be of benefit. I've been very proud of the efforts that you have put in to keep up with working and learning.
I shall see you all again in September. I'll be staying put in Year 4, but Mr Smith and Mr Day shall be inheriting an excellent Year 5 next year! Don't worry at all about when you come back to school. It shall all be perfectly safe; you'll find it great to see friends and classmates again, and your teachers will be doing their utmost to ensure that you feel confident, happy and ready to thrive.
Parents, if you're worried at all about the time in education that your child has missed out on.....just keep reading lots of good books over the summer, know the times tables well, get regular exercise, and all shall be well, all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
So all the best, happy holidays, and thank you for being such a lovely class!
Also on this main page, please note the new section named 'Keeping Safe Online'. This has a link to undertake some activities together (as parents and children) about how to stay safe when using the Internet - which it is quite possible people are doing more than normal at the moment.
Also on safety, Norfolk Children's Services have a new phone number to contact support on if at any point you are feeling unsafe or scared. This is a text to: 07480635060. Or phone call to: 0344 800 8029.
