Harvest day

On Thursday 8th October we held our Harvest Festival activity day in middle phase (years 3 & 4). The children had an opportunity to take part in four different activities. These activities included learning about how harvest is different depending on where you are in the world, creating art using food and baking their own bread (I’m sure they showed you this when they went home last Thursday).

In my class we sketched and then painted a tree scene using vibrant colours like red, orange and yellow to really get a feel for the autumn season. We added some pumpkins and apples to the picture to depict harvest. Children used finger painting to create the leaves of their tree.

Photos of the children working hard (I will upload some photos of the end product later)

Following the announcement of a national lockdown the school will be closed to ALL pupils on Tuesday 5th January and will reopen for vulnerable pupils and children of key workers only on Wednesday 6th January. Further details on places and home learning to be sent tomorrow..........................Please take a look around our website to find out more about our Good school..........................Are you looking for a school place for your child? ...Give us a call for an informal chat and arrange a socially distanced visit to look round (after school hours)....................
