Getting to know your teacher!

My name is Mr. Davies and I am a new teacher at Millfield. However, the school isn’t entirely new to me, because I went to school here when I was younger (that was a few years ago though). I am from North Walsham and have lived here most of my life apart from my time at University in Sheffield and when I worked as an English teacher abroad.

I love sports and playing video games. I’m a lifelong Norwich City fan, which can be difficult sometimes, and I enjoy playing too, especially with my younger brother. I am also a keen runner and you can usually find me at Blickling or Sheringham Parkrun bright and early on a Saturday or running around North Walsham in the evenings!

I also love to read and one of my all time favourite book series is none other than Harry Potter. My love of the series started when my dad read me the books when I was 7 years old and reading has been a big part of my life ever since.

In my spare time, I enjoy getting out for walks and observing nature as this something that has always interested me. This includes playing with my two cats at home. I also enjoy watching films and my go-to choices are any Marvel or Star Wars film!

At school my favourite subject was History but as I grow older, I love to learn about everything across all subjects. I taught myself to skip over lockdown as I never learned how to do it when I was younger and I even dabbled in some archery after finding a bow in my loft!

I’m really looking forward to getting to know you all in September and I hope you have a lovely summer holiday. Enjoy the photos below!

The school is open today for vulnerable pupils and children of key workers (who have attended previously) only. .........Bring your wellies!......................... All other pupils should continue with remote learning as usual and enjoy the snow at home...................We have loved seeing all the pictures of the children having fun!...............
