  • Read for at least 20 minutes.

Friday Phonics and English

This week we are going to take a look at spelling patterns with the silent ‘k’ and ‘g’. Practise writing these words!

Can you think of or find any more to add to my list?

You all were very good at adding to the list on our interactive white board when we used our dictionaries!

English comprehension today.

‘Knights and dragons unite!’ (At the bottom of the page)

Remember there are different levels of questions. So chose your challenge please.

Once you have had fun answering the questions then go through the answer page and check your answers and correct where you need to. This ‘review and improve skill’ is an important part of writing. Mistakes are how we learn!

Friday Maths

Quick fire doubling – how many doubles can you write or say in 5 minutes? Start with double 1.

Challenge Day

If you can, have a look at the BBC challenge day Friday. You don’t need to print them but if you’d like to they’re at the bottom of the page. If you can’t get to the website, have a look at our Maple problem of the day – Bean Bag buckets

Maths Problem of the Day.....

Bean-bag buckets

Dan threw 3 bean-bags.

Each bag went in a bucket.

More than one bag can go in a bucket.

1. What is the highest score Dan can get?

2. Find three ways to score 6.

3. Find three ways to score 9.

4. What other scores can Dan get?

Feel Good Friday

Remember, Friday afternoons are all about doing the things that make you smile! I’ve added some extra video clips for drawing or Spanish if you are stuck for ideas of what to do. Or why not have a look in our 30 Days Wild section to see if there is a fun outdoor challenge you could have a go at!

#DrawWithRob 3 Fred Bear

DrawWithRob is a series of draw-along videos that you can watch with your kids and, hopefully, make some nice pictures together.
