Dear Cherry Tree Class!
I hope you had a lovely Easter and didn’t eat too much chocolate!
We have been so lucky to have had some very sunny days and I hope you have managed to spend some time outside, whether that be in your garden or out for your daily exercise. I can see from walking around the area where I live that people have been very busy in their gardens using the time they are spending at home to do all those jobs they haven’t had time for. In fact, it is becoming quite a competition as to who has the tidiest and best kept garden – somehow, I don’t think I am going to win!
I am really looking forward to seeing you take part in the learning activities your teacher has been preparing for you – don’t forget to send in some pictures or video of you and your work to your class email so we can all share in celebrating your achievements. Also, if you have done something outside of the school activities you would like to share, please send it in via your class email or you can send it to me at school through the post. I have missed seeing and hearing about all the great things you get up to at home!
A few children have been cared for by staff at school over the holidays, so their parents are able to continue doing their key worker roles which are so important for helping the country come through this time. It has been lovely to see and hear them enjoying themselves with so much space to play in!
Welcome back to the start of a new term of learning at home, although I have to admit that I can’t wait until we can all be back together at Millfield!
I will see you all soon – work hard and have fun!
