Friday 12th October saw the whole school community come together to celebrate the festival of Harvest as well as take part in a day of activities based on countries around the world. This was planned to celebrate the school receiving a re-accreditation of the International Schools Award and the launch of our project funded by the European Commission which will see a teacher and pupil exchange with a school in Spain for Year 6 pupils over the next two years. The theme of Harvest also took on an international theme with each class giving a short presentation on a chosen country within the continent assigned to each phase of the school. The children had been busy all week making delicious samples of foods from their chosen country for their parents to taste during the Harvest celebrations - and very well they went down too! It was great to see so many children dress up within a theme of their country or in the colours of the flag - the hall was awash with the colours of the world.
Thank you to everyone who came along to support the children - we have never seen so many people at a Harvest Celebration before!
