'This School continues to be Good' -Ofsted November 2017

Maple Class

Welcome back to school, we hope you all had a wonderful Easter!

Our learning theme for this term is: 'At the bottom of the garden!'

This term we will be learning about Plants in Science. As part of this learning we will find out about different plants in our environment, what plants need to grow and the life cycle of a plant. We have launched our theme for this term by planting a number of seeds and we are going to nurture these so we can sell them in a plant sale towards the end of the term.

History: We will find out about changes in our countryside and how equipment has changed over time.

Geography: We will develop our field work skills to collect information about our local environment and map what we have found.

Art: We will be learning about the famous painter, Vincent Van Gogh and using his ‘Sunflowers’ painting to inspire our own flower style paintings.

Design Technology: We will research different types of bird feeders then design our own so we can hang these in our gardens to help feed the birds.
